Background

Hi, I'm Erika. I was born and raised in Lima, Peru. I grew up in the big city, immersed in music, dance, sports, and performance arts.
I have spent most of my adult life in southern Arizona, where I graduated from the University of Arizona.
I have had the opportunity to learn from some amazing master dance teachers like Rosangela Silvestre, Youssouf Kumbassa, Kimberly Miguel Mullen, Dandha Da Hora, Soriba Fofana, and more. I have also trained with pioneer circus theatre and pyrotechnic group, Flam Chen.

Vision
Sharing ancestral wisdom through movement and dance is a passion of mine. I have studied traditional, cultural dances for many years and understand their vital role in our grounding as humans, for the purpose of self (and earth) healing work.
I honor my ancestors through dance and center indigenous culture, acknowledging them as the original creators, water and land protectors.
I awaken ancestral memory and let it flow through me to inspire dance and movement that creates a bridge from the old to the new.

TheFusion

It's been amazing to have had the opportunity to learn so much from a variety of teachers and facilitators.
I keep the traditions alive within me, as the energy to fuel my own creative process and bring classic dance styles fuzed with my own flavor and style
